ABOUT US
UKinbound is a trade association which represents the interests of the UK's inbound tourism sector.
We now have over 250 members, and continue to grow. We are one of the leading trade associations in the UK tourism industry and the only association to focus exclusively on the inbound tourism sector - the third largest export industry in terms of earnings for the UK. It is estimated that one in twelve full time jobs within the UK rely on tourism.
UKinbound represents a diverse membership including inbound tour operators, wholesalers and DMCS (Destination Management Companies), hoteliers and other accommodation providers, attractions, retailers, restaurateurs, transport providers and other suppliers who provide services for inbound tourists to the UK, both leisure and business travellers. All our members are based in the UK and their business is wholly, or to a significant extent, dependent on inbound tourism.
MISSION & AIMS
The primary aim of UKinbound is to represent the interests of our members to help them manage successful, profitable businesses that are part of a vibrant and sustainable inbound tourism industry. We achieve this by focusing on:
ADVOCACY AND LOBBYING - To champion the interests of our members with Government to ensure we have a legislative and fiscal framework that allows their businesses to grow and prosper.
PROFESSIONALISM - To promote best practise and encourage life long learning. To facilitate the provision of vocational and management training that will improve quality, encourage staff development and provide the prospect of a fulfilling and rewarding career path in travel and tourism.
NETWORKING - To provide the opportunities for our members to develop relationships with tourism suppliers, buyers and partners both abroad and in the UK through a programme of business and social events.
