ABOUT US
UKinbound is a trade association founded in 1977 to represent the interests of the UK's inbound tourism businesses.
Originally known as BITOA (British Incoming Tour Operators Association), we now have around 250 members, and are one of the leading trade associations in the UK tourism industry and the only association to focus exclusively on the vital export earning inbound sector.
UKinbound represents a diverse membership of tourism providers who organise tours in the UK, provide accommodation in the UK, or who provide cultural, sporting and other leisure activities in the UK.
Our members include accommodation providers, destination marketing, attractions, tourism service providers, inbound tour operators, and UK ground handlers. You can be sure that by choosing to work with one or many of our members you will get a highly professional service.
MISSION & AIMS
The primary aim of UKinbound is to represent the interests of our members to help them manage successful, profitable businesses that are part of a vibrant and sustainable inbound tourism industry. We achieve this by focusing on:
ADVOCACY - To champion the interests of our members with Government to ensure we have a legislative and fiscal framework that allows their businesses to grow and prosper.
PROFESSIONALISM - To promote best practise and encourage life long learning. To facilitate the provision of vocational and management training that will improve quality, encourage staff development and provide the prospect of a fulfilling and rewarding career path in travel and tourism.
NETWORKING - To provide the opportunities for our members to develop relationships with tourism suppliers, buyers and partners both abroad and in the UK through a programme of business and social events.
