We are pleased to invite our buyer members to Fam Trip taking place on Thursday 20 July 2023, kindly hosted by the Waddesdon Manor.
Waddesdon Manor is a Renaissance-style chateau in the heart of the Chilterns, housing one of the finest collections of French 18th century decorative arts in the world. The manor itself is situated within beautiful landscaped Victorian gardens with a Parterre, seasonal displays, historic Italian statuary and breath-taking views. There is an ornate Rococo-style Aviary housing rare and endangered birds and a gift and wine shop selling unique, unrivalled Rothschild wines.
On a day out to Waddesdon you will discover richly decorated interiors, fabulous art treasures, beautiful displays and sweeping landscapes.
You will also get the opportunity to explore Joana Vasconcelos’ extraordinary Wedding Cake, an immersive art installation opening this summer in the grounds at Waddesdon. The Wedding Cake is a 12-metre-tall ceramic sculptural pavilion in the form of a three-tiered cake and is a major new Rothschild Foundation commission from celebrated Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside this astonishing work of art and enjoy a unique, richly sensory experience.
PROGRAMME:
8:30: Meet at the station with UKinbound member (exact place TBC)
8:57 – 10:03am: Train from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway station
10:15am: Shuttle bus from Aylesbury Vale Parkway station to North Fountain
10:30am: Arrive at Waddesdon Manor and head to the Manor Restaurant for a welcome
11am: Free flow visit into the House
12pm: Meal in the Manor Restaurant
1pm: Free flow visit to the gardens
1:45pm: All guests meet at the North Fountain to head to Wedding Cake
2pm: Tour of the Wedding Cake
2:45pm: Shuttle bus from Wedding Cake to Aylesbury Vale Parkway station
3:13pm – 4:22pm: Train from AVP to London Marylebone

How to book: Once bookings open, an invitation will be sent out to all UKinbound members with a unique booking link.
Please note, that places are very limited for this event and is open for BUYER MEMBERS ONLY, and therefore will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that places are restricted to ONE representative per buyer members’ company. If more than one person registers from the same company, the additional booking will be added to a waiting list. If this is the case with your booking, we will let you know that you have been added to the waiting list and that we cannot confirm your place unless we receive some cancellations prior to the event.
Please note, bookings for this event must close on Wednesday 12 July 2023.
Any cancellations must be received in writing on or before Thursday 13 July 2023 by 16:00.
In the case of non-attendance on the day or cancellation after the above date, a £25+VAT charge will be applied to cover costs incurred. No refunds are available after the above date but a substitute attendee from your organisation would be accepted.
