Event Enterprise Manager – Westminster Abbey

  • Salary: £37,000
  • Contract: Permanent, full time

Westminster Abbey is seeking to recruit an Events Enterprise Manager who can pro-actively and re-actively sell the Abbey precincts for a variety of events. The successful candidate will be responsible for operationally planning and delivering events in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing enquiries from direct clients, agencies and charities
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and new clients
  • Providing clients with quotations for their event enquiries within 24 – 48 working hours of
    their request
  • Conducting site visits with potential clients to prospect for new business
  • Chairing pre-event logistics meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring smooth running of events by distributing detailed and accurate events’
    operations orders to all relevant Abbey departments no later than 7 days prior to an
  • Booking key event staff for events (cleaners, electrician, marshals, tour guides, security)

The successful candidate will:

  • Be at degree level or have equivalent experience
  • Have full competency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Work well as a team
  • Have the ability to work towards deadlines
  • Have proven success selling premium products and upselling
  • Be an accomplished client and account manager
  • Have proven experience in event management, preferably gained within a high profile organisation
  • Possess a proven ability to satisfy demanding internal and external customers
  • Possess a proven track record of delivering high quality events
  • Be able to deliver accurate and timely event administration
  • Possess proven excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Possess proven experience of financial control and invoicing
  • Be able to use databases
