Scottish Destination Management Organisation, Argyll and Isles Tourism Cooperative has launched a new, dedicated travel trade resource to help a wide range of domestic and global partners increase engagement with their clients and generate new and repeat business through creative product development.

The Argyll and Isles Tourism Cooperative, which represents a vast coastal area and 23 inhabited islands in the stunning west coast of Scotland, has created the easy-to-use online platform to provide support to DMCs, tour operators and travel agencies.

Developed in partnership with their globally renowned travel trade specialist, Yvonne Wagoun, the platform contains an extensive searchable product directory, useful contacts and an image library, alongside recommended trails, touring routes and sample itineraries.

Launching the new resource, Yvonne  Wagoun said, “At a time when new product planning is at the forefront of the incoming operators’ minds, we hope this new platform will inspire operators to take clients further into the beautiful corners of Argyll and onto the Islands which makes this boutique region so special.

“We know this is an incredibly busy time for everyone in the industry, so it includes a range of searchable and user-friendly tools which we hope will help them find what they need, when they need it. I would also be delighted to support DMCs, tour operators and agencies interested in exploring the area with tailored advice and referrals to some of Scotland’s finest suppliers.”

Cathy Craig, CEO for the Argyll and Isles Tourism Cooperative added, “We’re delighted to be working with Yvonne to help operators and agencies quickly and easily discover more of our stunning region. Argyll and the Isles really does represent the best of Scotland – from stunning landscapes, island hopping and iconic heritage to wonderful food and drink, the finest island malt whiskies and unique luxury experiences. And there are some amazing routes to discover by road, rail and sea.”
