Visit Greenwich, in partnership with City Cruises, has launched ‘Greenwich: An Unmissable Time’ – a new campaign highlighting the destination’s cinematic heritage. The campaign began with a red-carpet celebration at the Old Royal Naval College on 7 May to mark 100 years of filming with a brand-new tour and programme of special events.
The campaign invites visitors to live out their own Greenwich story, on and beyond the screen. At the centre of the launch is the immersive “Step Onto Set” Doorway, giving guests the chance to physically walk through a stylised set door into the world of Greenwich meantime.
As part of the launch, a new walking film tour from Old Royal Naval College – ‘Wigs, Weddings, Powder and Palaces’ – offers behind-the-scenes insights on how the UNESCO World Heritage Site has transformed for screen favourites such as Bridgerton, The Crown, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Les Misérables.
Inspired by VisitBritain’s ‘Starring GREAT Britain’ campaign, ‘An Unmissable Time’ draws on film itineraries and real-life experiences across Greenwich, from the riverside to its markets, museums and green outdoor spaces.
