Lomond Leisure Group has announced the official opening of Gael & Grain, a newly rebranded pub and dining venue in Glasgow’s West End. Developed in collaboration with Star Pubs, the opening follows a complete refurbishment of the site, introducing a fresh concept that combines contemporary design with elements of Scottish heritage.
Situated near Kelvingrove, Gael & Grain offers a menu combining traditional home-cooked dishes with modern influences. Signature items include Haggis Tikka Masala and Irn Bru Cheesecake, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients featured throughout the lunch and dinner service.
The venue’s main dining area accommodates 65 people, and a 30-seat private dining room is available for events and gatherings. Additional facilities include a dedicated events space – a Chuilidh-Gaelic for ‘The Secret Hiding Place’ – and a dog-friendly outdoor beer garden. Entertainment is a key aspect of the offering, with weekly comedy nights held in the on-site Comedy Lounge in partnership with Good Egg Comedy. The drinks selection includes a curated range of Scottish whisky and gin.
Gael & Grain is now open for lunch, dinner, and private bookings. Brunch service and a traditional Sunday roast are also planned for future launch.
Sophie Mallon, Chief Marketing Officer of Lomond Leisure Group said, “We are absolutely delighted to see this project come to fruition in conjunction with Star Pubs. Gael & Grain represents a celebration of Scottish heritage through food, drink, and music. This collaboration has allowed us to create a unique space that truly embodies the spirit of Scotland, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to experience it.”
