Blenheim Palace has shared highlights of their summer activity – a programme of activities and events catering to a range of ages and interests is now on until August.
Highlights include:
- Pip & Posy, from 23 May – Blenheim Palace has partnered with Pip & Posy to create an immersive adventure trail in the Adventure Play area. Children can follow a rainbow treasure hunt and discover 3D character scenes, games and storytelling. This playful experience encourages outdoor fun while sparking imagination with these much-loved children’s characters.
- Roof Viewing Platform, from 24 May – Open for a limited time only, the Rooftop Viewing Platform offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the Palace, Estate, and Oxfordshire countryside. As part of the Roof Restoration Project, this exclusive experience reveals never-before-seen perspectives of the Palace.
- Flower Show, 27 – 29 June – The Flower Show returns each June with an array of plants and blooms. Set in Blenheim Palace’s grounds, this three-day celebration of gardening features extraordinary floral displays, garden talks, and family-friendly activities.
- Battle Proms Picnic Concert, 5 July – Blenheim Palace’s 20th annual Battle Proms delivers an unforgettable open-air evening of music and entertainment. Guests can gather with picnics to enjoy uplifting orchestral classics, dramatic Spitfire flyovers, live cannon fire, cavalry displays, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
- DogFest at Blenheim Palace, 12 & 13 July – Enjoy a fun-filled celebration of dogs and dog lovers with have-a-go agility, expert advice, and displays. With great food, shopping, and activities for all ages, even non-dog owners can enjoy the lively atmosphere in the stunning surroundings of the Blenheim Palace parkland.
- Walled Garden Pizzeria – The Walled Garden Pizzeria at Blenheim Palace serves delicious, freshly made woodfired pizzas cooked to order. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal after exploring the Walled Garden and Adventure Play. The menu also features seasonal pasta dishes, salads, sides and a children’s deal. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers within 20 miles of the Estate. Open daily 10:00–17:00.
- Farm to Fork Initiative – Blenheim Estate has partnered with Worthy Earth to create a flourishing regenerative kitchen garden within its historic Walled Garden. Using no-dig techniques, the garden supplies fresh produce to the Palace’s cafés and restaurants, supporting Blenheim’s goal to locally source food and reduce food miles.
- Butterfly House – Nestled within Blenheim Palace’s Walled Garden, the newly renovated Butterfly House offers an immersive experience amidst exotic plants and vibrant blooms. Marvel at tropical butterflies like the Red Lacewing and Blue Wave, and enjoy the cheerful presence of Zebra Finches in this lush, tropical paradise.
- Armchair Talks – Armchair Talks at Blenheim Palace are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6pm in The Stables Café. Each session features engaging speakers discussing a variety of topics, offering unique insights into the Palace’s history, restoration efforts, and more. Tickets are included with a valid Pass or £5 on the door for non-pass holders.
- Rowse Honey Hive – Experience the buzz at Blenheim Palace’s Walled Garden with the Rowse Honey Hive. This interactive space invites families to explore the crucial role of bees and other pollinators in our ecosystem. Engage in hands-on activities, learn about pollinator-friendly gardening, and observe pollinators in action. Open daily, included with Palace admission.
- Archie, Your Interactive Guide – Visitors can now enjoy personally tailored tours with Archie – your interactive guide, a state-of-the-art app at Blenheim Palace. It allows users to choose exactly what they’d like to see and hear, uncovering over 300 years of stories – many of which have never been told before.
