Best of Scotland Holidays has partnered with Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) to become members of their Big Green Footprint Scheme. The scheme allows local businesses to support the Trust’s work, spread across more than 70 sites, maintaining the Fife Coastal Path, Fife Pilgrim Way, the Lomond Hills Regional Park, local nature reserves, and award-winning beaches.
Having previously contributed to a Woodland Trust scheme through membership of SIGTOA, Best of Scotland Holidays decided to support a local charity as part of an ongoing commitment to Responsible Tourism. FCCT was the partner of choice due to them being headquartered in their hometown of Kirkcaldy, and the work the Trust does in maintaining so many key sites across Fife.
Best of Scotland Holidays‘ support will initially be in the form of a donation per booking made. The Trust will then identify the best project for a financial donation to support.
Kirsten Laing, Sales & Marketing Director at Best of Scotland, said, “We are delighted to have partnered with the team at Fife Coast & Countryside Trust and to be part of their Big Green Footprint Scheme. Since returning to the business supporting a local charity has been important to us and we are so lucky to have this organisation on our doorstep. Our contribution to projects means we are helping support our natural environment for visitors to enjoy, but importantly through tourism we can give back to our local communities who also use these resources.”
