B&B Hotels finalises refurbishment of seven UK properties

B&B Hotels has hosted a showcase event in Birmingham to mark the milestone of completing the refurbishment of all seven of its UK hotels, concluding an 18-month investment programme aimed at updating the group’s British portfolio.

Attendees included suppliers, business partners and customers. The refurbishments covered properties in Birmingham, Cambridge, Derby, Heathrow, Inverness, Ipswich and Warrington.

The group said the work included upgraded guest rooms and redesigned communal areas, with a focus on simpler layouts and updated interiors. Sustainability has also been incorporated into the programme.

B&B Hotels said its operations are certified by SOCOTEC – a testing, inspection and certification group – and that environmental measures have been integrated across the refurbished sites.

Patrick O’Connell, Chief Executive Officer of B&B Hotels UK said, “It’s been an incredible journey over the past 18 months launching seven hotels within the group. I’m incredibly grateful to the B and B UK team for all of their hard work and to our extensive portfolio of suppliers and partners along the way.

“Together we’re delivering excellence in hospitality at an affordable price for our customers and mindful of our impact on the planet. With the refurbishment programme completed, the group said it is assessing further opportunities for expansion across major cities and regional centres in the UK.”
