We are pleased to invite buyer members to a fam trip of Bristol, kindly hosted by Visit West on Monday 11 May 2026, taking place prior to the Spring General Meeting.
Visit West is the Local Visitor Economy Partnership for the West of England region. The organisation supports DMCs, wholesalers, ground handlers, tour operators, travel agents and companies looking to include and promote Bath, Bristol, and the surrounding areas to their clients.
Upon arrival at Bristol Temple Meads via GWR, buyer members will enjoy a guided boat tour of Bristol’s historic harbourside, gliding through the heart of the city. Next, a visit to Bristol Cathedral, one of England’s great medieval churches, which has stood at the city’s centre for nearly 900 years. A short cross-harbour ferry ride will take the group to Brunel’s SS Great Britain – the world’s first great ocean liner. Explore Victorian life at sea at the Dockyard Museum, visit the accompanying Being Brunel Museum, and enjoy the on-site restaurant, Boardwalk. Buyer members will also hear about the exciting new visitor experience coming soon, as the Dockyard Museum is undergoing redevelopment.
Embark on a food tour at Wapping Wharf, known for its eclectic mix of independent food and drink vendors housed in converted shipping containers. The afternoon will conclude next door at M Shed, exploring Bristol’s rich history, including an original work by Banksy – a nod to the city’s recognition in Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel for its vibrant street art scene.

Transport: GWR is offering buyers attending the Fam Trip a complimentary return train ticket from London-Bristol.

Please note this event is open to BUYER MEMBERS ONLY. Places are very limited, and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Places are restricted to ONE representative per buyer member company.
Bookings will close on Wednesday 29 April 2026.
Any cancellations must be received in writing on or before Wednesday 29 April 2026 by 17:00. In the case of non-attendance on the day or cancellation after the above date, a £25+VAT charge will be applied to cover costs incurred. No refunds are available after the above date but a substitute attendee from your organisation would be accepted.
