15:30 – 17:00

We are delighted to invite our buyer members to our upcoming Destination Update and Virtual Fam Trip hosted by Glasgow Life.

Glasgow is a city of culture, bursting with activity and experiences, with the personality of a place that wears its heart on its sleeve.

Glasgow is home to an array of remarkable museums, visitor attractions and galleries – housing one of Europe’s largest civic arts collections and a cutting edge contemporary visual arts scene that is envied across the globe. The city’s unique style is enhanced by its year-round events programme with the designation as a UNESCO City of Music firmly setting the seal on Glasgow’s reputation as one of Europe’s premier cultural capitals.

We start the tour with City Sightseeing Glasgow and hear about their new Music Tour which they have added to their route. Narrated by the multi award winning singer-songwriter Eddi Reader, the tour will tell you everything you need to know about Glasgow’s best music venues, explore interesting stories, facts and some insider knowledge from Eddi herself on what exactly makes Glasgow such a wonderful, vibrant and musical city!

You will then discover Virgin Hotels which is a luxury lifestyle hospitality brand that combines heartfelt service and a personalised hotel experience, with the track record of innovation and smart disruption that Sir Richard Branson’s global Virgin Group has pioneered for 50 years. Leading the curve of redevelopment in the Clydeside area of Glasgow’s city centre, Virgin Hotels’ second Scottish property, Virgin Hotels Glasgow, enjoys enviable views across the river to the South and over the city to the North. With a prime location, prestigious design, seamless technology, multiple bars and restaurants and live entertainment, our motto “everyone leaves feeling better” has never been so apt.

The Fam Trip will end with Clydeside Distillery who are delighted to bring distilling back to Glasgow to produce a light and delicate Lowland-style Single Malt Whisky. Dock yourself here, on the banks of the Clyde, and enjoy tales of Glasgow’s history and its bonds with the whisky industry before enjoying one of the many distillery tour options.
