Programme:
Lauren Houstoun, Glenkirlie Larder, Perthshire
Glenkilrie Larder Cook School offers a unique demo-and-dine experience on a long-established Highland Perthshire farm. The Houstoun family has farmed Glenkilrie for over 60 years and, for the past six, has specialised in premium venison alongside home-reared beef and lamb. Guests watch Lauren demonstrate how she prepares and cooks each cut, learning about the meat’s provenance and the family’s sustainable practices, all in the comfort of her stunning farmhouse kitchen. Authentic, intimate, and rooted in a love of Scottish agriculture, Glenkilrie Larder Cook School delivers a true land-to-larder taste of Scotland.
Julie Cummings, Dundee Heritage Trust, Dundee
Two of Dundee’s most popular attractions, Discovery Point & RRS Discovery and Verdant Works Museum both offer unforgettable experiences for travel trade. Discovery Point is home to RRS Discovery; the ship that first took famous explorers Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton to the Antarctic. Alongside an award-winning museum, RRS Discovery offers luxurious Wardroom Dining Experiences and the all-new Discovery Mast Climb. Found in an 1833 mill, Verdant Works Museum is one of Dundee’s hidden gems; offering a truly local experience. Step back in time as you meet former weavers, see working machinery and explore Scotland’s industrial past.
Simon Johnson, Bowbridge Alpacas, Fife
Guests can immerse themselves in an exceptional, five-star alpaca experience at Bowbridge Alpacas, where expert handlers with a deep passion and understanding of these incredible animals guide them through an unforgettable journey of connection, care, and discovery.
