We are delighted to invite buyer members to our upcoming Destination Update and Virtual Fam Trip hosted by Visit Lake District, Cumbria.
The journey will start onboard Windermere Lake Cruises’s newest vessel ‘MV Swift’, carrying up to 300 passengers and designed with accessibility and comfort in-mind. You will then discover Wordsworth Grasmere’s £6.5 million transformation featuring their new museum and beautifully recreated gardens.
Experience a tasting with Grasmere Gingerbread® as you learn about this iconic and deliciously spicy-sweet delicacy invented by legendary Victorian cook Sarah Nelson in 1854.Then, hear an update from Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway on their new self-catering Pullman Coaches, Elmira and Maid of Kent, which have been lovingly brought back to life and find out more about their first-class observation carriage.
The Fam Trip will end with owners and distillers, Andy & Zoe from Shed 1 Distillery in Ulverston for a tour of their award-winning micro distillery followed by a gin tasting.
You will also hear from the Visit Lake District, Cumbria team on what’s new for 2021/2022 and how they can help support you on creating the perfect itinerary for your clients. Shortly after the event, attendees will be sent a travel trade directory containing contact details of travel trade ready suppliers across the destination.
