Visitors can now get a whole new perspective of the capital with Bateaux London’s brand new boat, Glass Room. The Glass Room’s impressive all-glass structure allows for uninterrupted views of London’s most iconic landmarks, while stylish interiors from Tom Dixon offer a chic and contemporary nautical feel.

Departing from Embankment Pier, guests can enjoy lunchtime, afternoon tea, dinner and Sunday lunch cruises accompanied by live music. Private dining rooms are also available, offering a unique escape and are ideal for special celebrations and corporate events. A small balcony at the front of the boat allows for an intimate view of the Thames, while a private, raised outdoor terrace at the bow can accommodate parties and groups.

Dining takes place in the Glass Room’s modern restaurant and features a British menu that champions seasonality. All food is freshly prepared on-board by the kitchen’s highly experienced brigade of chefs.

Guests on the 1.5 hour lunchtime cruise can enjoy a two-course meal from £39 per person. A premier package is available at £49 per person which guarantees best seats on board plus a half bottle of wine and mineral water per person.

Dinner is a more leisurely affair with a three-hour sail under the stars, live entertainment an a stunning five course menu. Packages start from £79, rising to £149 for the wine pairing menu that also includes a welcome aperitif, coffee, digestif and superior view seats to make the most of the night time sights.

Sunday lunch cruises include live jazz musicians and three course menu featuring the great British roast with all the trimmings from £49 per person or £59 including wine, with children’s menus at £34.

The afternoon tea cruise features a live pianist and quintessential afternoon tea far including finger sandwiches, buttermilk scones with strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream and a selection of pastries, accompanied by an assortment of fine leaf teas. Prices start at £36 per person.

Guests can enjoy a classic cocktail, glass of wine or pre-dinner aperitif in Glass Room’s stunning bar with its impressive back-lit mirrored bottle display, porthole-style lighting and hand-blown Murano glass lamps. London and British beers also feature on the drinks menu, as well as carefully curated list of premium wines and champagne to pair perfectly with the meals.

Glass Room is also available as a unique venue for all types of gatherings, from corporate events to wedding receptions. Exclusive hire of the vessel can accommodate up to 235 seated, or up to 400 for a standing reception. More intimate parties can take place in a large room at the stern of the boat for up to 60 guests, while a semi-private area tucked away from the main dining room can accommodate up to 10.
