Another Place, The Machrie has unveiled its schedule of competitive golfing events for the 2025 season. Located on the Isle of Islay, the award-winning venue – recognised as Scottish Golf Hotel of the Year 2023/24 – will host three structured competition weekends in April, June, and October.
The events will take place on The Machrie’s championship links course, which is ranked 78th in the World Top 100 courses. Each competition will follow a shotgun start format and consist of two rounds of competitive golf over two days. Players will also have access to an additional practice round on arrival, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the course. The limited field size is designed to maintain a balanced and engaging competitive environment.
Alan Martin, Golf General Manager at Another Place, The Machrie said, “Whether you’re competing to win or simply here for world-class golf, stunning Hebridean scenery and a dram of Islay’s finest, these events offer the perfect blend of camaraderie and competition.”
Event participants can extend their stay at Another Place, The Machrie, with a 20% discount on accommodation. Rooms feature contemporary Scottish art and offer views of the Atlantic Ocean or the surrounding island landscape. Additional facilities include wood-fired hot tubs, a sauna in the wild garden, and the stag lounge, where guests can relax in a social setting.
