Best Western Hotels (BWH) have launched Recite Me – assistive technology to provide an inclusive digital experience to customers online.

With over 4,000 hotels in over 80 countries worldwide, Best Western Group Great Britain is committed to providing quality services from the moment someone lands on their website all the way through to check out.

The Recite Me assistive toolbar on the BWH website removes online obstacles for those with disabilities, visual impairments, learning difficulties, and the elderly population. This new technology allows BWH to provide its services to everyone, permitting all website visitors to customise their digital experience in a way that works best for them.

The tools available allow users to read text aloud, and change the appearance of website pages, including adjustments to colour, font type, and sizing. Also, improve the ease of reading with additional aids such as a ruler and screen mask.

Alongside this, BWH has prioritised equipping many of its hotels with disabled facilities and accessibility throughout their buildings, which includes walk-in showers, sufficient space for wheelchairs, ground-floor bedrooms and much more.

Chris Bowling, Head of Digital Marketing and E-Commerce at Best Western Hotel Group said, “At BWH Hotel Group Great Britain we are committed to making travel accessible to everyone. Recite Me supports guests in finding and booking independently owned hotels across Great Britain.

“To aid Recite Me, we have also added extra functionality to our website. This allows guests to be able to filter hotels by specific accessibility features making finding the perfect hotel even simpler.”
