Britain Unites – a nationwide initiative developed by a group of travel industry professionals – has officially launched its online directory britainunites.co.uk.

Tourism businesses across the country are offering free or discounted tickets to NHS workers to thank them for the courage and commitment throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, to unite the British public, and to revive the travel and tourism community in the UK.

NHS workers can now visit the new website to view and redeem free and discounted tickets to a range of attractions, venues, experiences and restaurants across the country.

Founder Emma-Jane Nutbrown said, “The pandemic has brought tourism to a standstill causing huge job and revenue losses. At the same time our NHS has been on the front line risking their lives for us. As an industry, we wanted to find a way to give back to them.

“Britain Unites is just a small gesture in comparison to the incredible commitment and bravery NHS workers have shown in recent times, but is a big thank you from the UK travel and tourism industry in the way we know how. Tourism is the industry of reams and we have an opportunity here to give something back to the NHS whilst helping to stimulate tourism and revive our venues.”

New offers will continue to be added to the directory as more businesses open up across the UK. Members wishing to get involved can email Emma-Jane Nutbrown.
