Christmas Tree Wonderland returns to Bournemouth

Following the success of the Christmas Tree Wonderland Festival in 2018, the Christmas Tree Wonderland Festival will be returning to Bournemouth from 15 November 2019 to 2 January 2020.

The centrepiece of this free, family-friendly event is the glittering Christmas Tree Wonderland Trail featuring 100 diverse and sparkling trees, illuminations and light installations which run from the seafront through the Victorian Lower Gardens to the Alpine Market in The Square. Bournemouth’s own Wonderland Tree stands 60ft tall, performing musical light shows and welcoming visitors. Meanwhile, replicas of international Christmas Trees make a return to the trail, representing Moscow, St Petersburg, Warsaw, Bethlehem and Seattle.

Visitors can enjoy the new attractions for this year, which include cascading lights at the new Smugglers Cove Adventure Golf at Pier Approach; a 7 metre golden reindeer at Beales Place in the centre of town; the crimson red ten metre Tree of Light in the middle of the Trail and the enchanting Polar Walk, placed above the walk-through bauble lights in the Triangle, while twinkling Gingerbread People can be found at the Lansdowne.

Festive decorations will be added to the outdoor skate rink, hot chocolate and mulled wine will be served at The Alpine Bar, and Christmas shopping will be available at the Festive Market.
