England Originals, a Discover England Fund project from England’s Historic Cities,  has signed a new tour operator partnership with Golden Tours.

Golden Tours has been tasked with implementing a system that will enable US and UK consumers to book one of England Original’s five packages or build their own bespoke itinerary. The new system will sit on visitlondon.com/englandoriginals from 30 September, and will host multiple tour operator packages with Golden Tours acting as a reseller.

The priority for England Originals is to ensure a seamless customer experience and enhance the bookable experience for FIT visitors from the US. The new system will include hotel providers and rail booking providers and allow individual attractions to be bookable directly. All products and packages will be commissionable.

England’s Historic Cities will work with Golden Tours to raise awareness of the destinations featured in the itineraries and liaise with tour operators bringing them on board as part of the England Originals product offer. Golden Tours will also be supporting the promotion and distribution of the site via a promotion on its website and through a joint sales mission.

England Originals aims to encourage more US visitors to explore regional England and packages 15 regional cities with London, the country’s main US gateway and focuses consumer attention on the City of London, the historic heart of the capital.

For the first time it brings together the best of England’s historic destinations and presents them in five inspiring three- to four-day multi-destination trips by rail, that are easy to plan and book. From political intrigue, royal power, the building of frontiers and the worship of gods to the life and times of ordinary people from Roman to Georgian England, history is brought to life through story-telling enhances by augmented reality.
