Frameless, the UK’s largest immersive art experience has launched Frameless Art Talks for 2024.

Each month, an art historian will delve deeper into stories behind the art inside Frameless, with mid-week afternoon lectures in partnership with Artscapes UK.

Visitors can learn about the historical context and significance of art from specialist lecturers, as audience are taken on an engaging journey through different artistic movements and ideas, each rooted in works featured within the Frameless experience. Themes and lecturers will be added to the programme and announced throughout the year.

The first talk in the series will take place on 30 January 2024, hosted by  art lecturer Fania Weatherby who will be exploring the world of Impressionism. Having studied History of Art at both the University of Oxford and the Courtauld Institute of Art, Fania has lectured in major museums across Europe including the Uffizi Galleries and the Centre Pompidou, as well as being a practising artist herself. In the first lecture, Fania will chart key developments in the movement, explore how Impressionism grew out of the political and cultural climate of its day, and consider how Impressionism reveals the roots of the modern urban experience that still shapes lives today.

The 45-minute sessions will immerse visitors in the world of art before they take their time exploring the four permanent immersive galleries, each dedicated to a different genre of art.

Tickets are priced at £35 and include admission to the Art Talk, as well as access to all Frameless permanent galleries afterwards.
