Following the reopening of their outdoor spaces last month, Historic Royal Palaces has announced dates for the phased reopening of some their indoor attractions.

From 10 July, the drawbridge will be lowered at the Tower of London to welcome visitors back to the 1,000-year-old fortress. The interior spaces at Hampton Court Palace will follow from 17 July, with Kensington Palace and Hillsborough Castle reopening from 30 July. Each attraction will open from Wednesdays to Sundays, with the exception of Hillsborough Castle which will be on open from Thursdays to Sundays.

The safety of visitors and staff continues to be a top priority, and the capacity at each attraction will be limited. Visitors will be required to pre-book tickets in advance via the Historic Royal Palaces website. Additional safety and hygiene measures will also be in place; these are detailed in the video below or can be found here.

Group bookings will not be available for the time being as the Palaces test their operations in the first few but Historic Royal Palaces plans to reopen group bookings in line with Government guidelines on group gatherings in the coming weeks.
