Leonardo Hotels, Europe’s largest and fastest growing hotel chain, is set to open a brand new establishment in Bristol city centre on 17 May 2021.

The newly built Leonardo Hotel Bristol Glassfields sits in a prime location on Temple Way, offering 197 bedrooms, a fully equipped gym, bar and restaurant. It is steps away from the river, Bristol Temple Meads and right between the city’s financial and shopping district.

Coming at a pivotal moment in the post-lockdown roadmap, and with its adjacency to Bristol’s city-centre retail, hospitality and cultural offering, the opening of this new hotel looks set to provide a significant boost of footfall and visitors for the city.

The re-opening of the city’s hospitality and cultural offering following the last 12 months, is a crucial step for the city as well as its residents who work within the cultural, hospitality and gig economies. The hotel will employ up to 50 people by the end of 2021.

The new outpost from Leonardo hotels will feature contemporary interiors, made from sustainable materials. Coming into a city as ecologically friendly and environmentally aware as Bristol, the new hotel is proud to be BREEAM certified, built in line with the world’s leading sustainability assessment method and designed to help protect natural resources, the environment and promote wellbeing.

The hotel has been designed for business travellers now working in a hybrid way to hot desk in the connectivity area, bar or in Leo’s restaurant, while also bringing comfort and style to guests looking for a UK break as staycations return.

Jason Carruthers, Managing Director for Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK said, “We are delighted to be opening our first Leonardo Hotel in Bristol, our 13th in the UK. After expanding our offering in the capital, we are very excited to be launching in one of the UK’s most vibrant cities and in such a central and accessible location. We very much look forward to welcoming guests to the new property once our doors open.”

Carruthers adds, “Bristol is a city renowned for its arts, music and hospitality scene, as well as independent shopping to match its independent spirit. The hotel is footsteps away from music venues and theatres as well as some of the best dining and shopping in the city. We’re looking forward to becoming part of it.”
