Lovetovisit.com has announced that its first year of business ended with a trading revenue of £4 million. The digital platform which enables UK-based tourist attractions to reach and sell tickets to a national audience, now advertises over 2,700 bookable events to over 200,000 regular users.

The London and Cardiff-based business aims to work in partnership with the UK’s domestic tourism sector to better support families and friends seeking leisure and memory-making experiences by building ‘the best place for people to book things to do’. Designed to be convenient and simple-to-use, 2023 saw the launch of new key features such as super-speedy booking and password-less login, financed in part by successful fundraising campaigns. The latest of these, run through online investment platform Seedrs, saw the company raise 140% of its targeted £250k – bringing an additional £350,955 into the business. July 2023 also marked the company’s first of many ‘£500k months’ – a target which was a key part of its growth strategy.

Partnerships Director and Co-Founder Georgia Aubrey said, “2023 has been an exceptional year for our business, our team, and for British tourism. We have gone some way to solving a crucial problem for the tourist and leisure industries. The UK is home to so many incredible attractions, but until Lovetovisit.com there was a serious lack of digitisation – making it hard for millions of online consumers to find and book things to do. This year we’ll keep building, secure more partnerships, attract more customers, and bring extra resilience to UK tourism”

Andrew Hudson, CEO, Zip World UK commented, “As both a large attraction group selling tickets on the platform, and as an investor in Lovetovisit, we’re really pleased with their success. As a fast-growing business ourselves we’re always looking to expand our audience and bring new people to experience Zip World. Lovetovisit gives us an excellent new way to do that.”

Patrick Colquhoun of Luss Estates, a family attraction provider in Loch Lomond, described their journey so far by saying, “We have had an excellent experience with Lovetovisit.com. Their geographic reach has expanded recognition of our product to all areas of the UK, bringing visitors that we’ve never had before. Our partnership has been professional, results driven, and has generated exponentially greater sales for our brand.”

Enora Le-Goff of Merlin Entertainments who own top UK attractions such as Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, and Legoland, also said of their experience, “It’s been amazing to partner with Lovetovisit.com. They have a real passion for driving more visitors to regional sites which is great for UK tourism.”

The year 2023 also saw an expansion of the Lovetovisit.com team and its Co-founders, Alice and Georgia Aubrey were recognised for their various achievements in business. Both women were named ‘Entrepreneurs of the Year’ at the Travel Industry Awards and were included in Insider Media’s list, ’25 Rising Stars of Welsh Business’. The company also launched Gift Cards, just in time for Christmas, tapping into the sizeable market of ‘gifted experiences’.
