Seacombe Ferry Terminal Reopens
Services have recently returned to Seacombe Ferry Termimal, Wirral, following a major upgrade to the terminal. As part of this multi-million pound investment, both the 130-year-old linkspan bridges were replaced, signifying a major piece of engineering work. To make the ferries easily accessible there has also been a complete refurbishment of the Landing Stage with powered gangways, helping people get on and off the ferry easily and a new contemporary ticket office area – integrating fully with the new Eureka! Science + Discovery attraction.

Improvement works are part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s plans to make sure the iconic ferries can sail along the River Mersey for generations to come, helping passengers to cross the river quickly while taking in the best views of Liverpool and Wirral’s waterfronts. The ferry terminals and vessels are accessible and once on board, have indoor and outdoor seating, accessible bathrooms and a servery selling refreshments.
