Mersey Ferries have released the 2024 dates for Manchester Ship Canal and Liverpool Bay Cruises.

Manchester Ship Canal Cruise

This six hour round-trip cruise will sail from Liverpool and Wirral, travel along the Manchester Ship Canal to Warrington and back. Groups can relax as they travel under bridges mostly unchanged since they were built over 125 years ago and experience the rich legacy of Victorian architecture and engineering masterpiece like the Grade II listed Runcorn Rail Bridge. As passengers sail back along the canal, through Eastham Locks into the River Mersey, they will experience panoramic views of the Mersey Estuary and Liverpool’s heritage waterfront. Passengers will learn about the history of the canal and landmarks from the Blue Badge Guide’s live commentary. The cruise will feature live music from talented local artists, and the fully licensed bar will be open throughout, so groups will be able to buy snacks and drinks.

Group rates start from £42 per person.

Liverpool Bay Cruise

Groups can enjoy the scenery during this three-hour cruise whilst learning about the history and geography of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay with expert commentary from a Blue Badge Guide, sailing past Royal Seaforth Docks, Fort Perch Rock at New Brighton and along the Crosby Channel towards Blundellsands and Formby. This sightseeing cruise will also give groups the chance to experience Anthony Gormley’s Another Place art installation at Crosby Beach from the river and enjoy unique views of the 100 cast-iron life-sized figures spread across foreshore, stretching out into the sea. The cruise will feature live music from talented local artists, and the fully licensed bar will be open throughout, so groups will be able to buy snacks and drinks.

Group rates start from £22 per person.
