Queen's House to open the only outdoor ice rink in South London

The Queen’s House in Greenwich will host south London’s only outdoor ice rink this winter. Visitors will have the opportunity to skate around one of London’s famous UNESCO World Heritage sites and enjoy a range of winter treats from the food and drinks stalls.

Visitors can also make a day of it, from visiting the award-winning Cutty Sark, standing on the word-famous Prime Meridian, to seeing a Planetarium show at the Royal Observatory, or doing some Christmas shopping at Greenwich market. With easy transport links, Greenwich is 8 minutes from London Bridge, or visitors can travel by boat along the River Thames.

The ice rink will open from 29 November – 12 January from 10am  – 8pm daily. Prices for a 45-minute skating session including skate hire from £6.75 for a child and £13.50 for an adult (plus £2.50 transaction fee). Skate aids (penguins) are also available to hire for children.

Tickets can be purchased in person, via the website or call the Royal Museums Greenwich ticket desk on 0208 312 6608.
