Raileasy launch collaborative Destination Guide

Raileasy have launched their first Destination Guide in collaboration with Visit Isle of Wight and Hovertravel. As well as promoting the UK’s sunshine island as a year round destination, it includes details of major events such as the South Island Sevens and Wight Wave and also attractions including Osbourne House and Carisbroke Castle. It also links to the DMO’s ‘Things to Do’ website section.

Kip Parker, Raileasy’s Head of Business Development said, “This came as a result of a conversation with Pat Sowerbutts at Hovertravel. We were talking about our sustainable #carfree project and thought this could be a great way to link our rail savings and hovercraft travel to the Isle of Wight. Pat then introduced us to Amy Summers at Visit Isle of Wight and she provided us with some great content.”

As rail tickets also include the 10 minute crossing from Southsea to Ryde, Raileasy have added links to Hovertravel’s timetable and their useful ‘Reserve Your Seat’ facility.

This is the first of what Raileasy hope will be a number of Destination Guides. It is being promoted to their thousands of customers, shared on their social media feeds and features on the home page of their split ticketing site.
