Sefton Collection receives three tourism award nominations

Sefton Collection is celebrating a trio of nominations at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2026, with three of its venues recognised across three distinct hospitality categories. The nominations mark an achievement for the independent group, reflecting the strength and diversity of its portfolio and its continued commitment to delivering hospitality experiences.

The shortlisted venues are: Sefton Park Hotel – Small Accommodation Provider of the Year; Ropewalks Hotel – Large Hotel of the Year and Dicey Reilly’s – Pub of the Year. The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards celebrate excellence across the region’s visitor economy, recognising the businesses and individuals whose achievements contribute to its continued success.

The nominations come as Liverpool City Region’s visitor economy reaches record levels, generating £6.834 billion in 2025, with visitor numbers rising 7.8% to 61.5 million and visitor spending increasing by 9.3%. The sector now supports more than 57,500 jobs across the region.

For Sefton Collection, the triple shortlisting follows a period of significant investment and development across its portfolio of independent hotels, serviced apartments, restaurants, bars and event spaces. Recent improvements include a £250,000 refurbishment of Sefton Park Hotel, alongside investment in its city-centre accommodation and hospitality offering.

Conor O’Donovan, CEO of Sefton Collection, said, “To have three of our venues shortlisted for these prestigious awards is a tremendous achievement and something we are incredibly proud of. What makes this particularly special is the recognition across three very different areas of hospitality, demonstrating the breadth of our offering and the individual character of our venues.

“These nominations are a fantastic endorsement of our teams, whose dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences are at the heart of everything we do. Liverpool’s visitor economy continues to flourish, and we are delighted to play our part in its success.”

The winners will be announced at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards ceremony on Thursday 4 February 2027 at Liverpool Cathedral, bringing together the region’s leading tourism and hospitality businesses for an evening of celebration.

Conor added, “We are fortunate to operate in a city with such an exceptional hospitality industry, and to be recognised alongside so many outstanding businesses is a real honour. We look forward to celebrating with our industry colleagues in February.”
