South of Scotland is hosting a range of events and activities throughout Spring 2024.

Hawick Reivers Festival (22 – 24 March 2024)

Visitors can step back in time to the mid-sixteenth century when the Borders were a land of constant feuding and discover what life was really like for men and women in the Border marches. Hawick Reivers aims to help visitors and locals experience what a day would be like during this turbulent part of history through music, arts, and re-enactments.

Spring Equinox Retreat Day (23 March 2024, 10am-3pm)

Those visiting can enjoy a retreat day at Allanton Peace sanctuary whilst appreciating the beauty of nature and the joy daffodils can bring. From £25 per person, visitors will follow mediative practises in the grounds of Allanton peace sanctuary or in the meditation room alongside complimentary food throughout the day.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Traquair House (31 March 2024, 11am-5pm)

The biggest egg hunt in The Borders this Easter at Traquair House, home to the largest hedged maze in Scotland. There will be 5000 eggs to be found in Traquair Maze, as well as workshops and creative activities in the garden.

Knockengorroch Festival (23 – 26 May 2024)

Visitors can celebrate some of the finest music beside the water of Deugh, beneath the shoulders of Scotland’s great mountain peaks. One of the most unique festival locations in the UK and Scotland’s longest running greenfield festival.

Women’s Winter Mounta Biking Weekend at Newcastleton (8 – 10 March 2024)

A filled weekend of biking, socialising, and escaping into the countryside for a few days. Ticket prices include accommodation, food and more.

Galashiels Spring Walking Festival 2024 (26 – 28 April 2024)

Galashiels Walking Festivals are organised by Hike & Bike Hub which is a social enterprise, with all walks being offered on a donation basis. There will be two to three walks offered each day of the festival, with one walk each day designed for walkers who enjoy longer, hillier walks.

Muck n’ Mac Fest (3 – 5 May 2024)

Situated in the grounds of Scotland’s oldest inhabited home, Traquair House will host the festival for the third time this year. Traquair is home to the finest gravel riding the country has to offer, with two days of gravel riding alongside an array of live music, yoga classes, introductory bike sessions and camping.
