The Ben Wyvis Hotel in Ross-shire has joined the family-owned Strathmore Hotel Group portfolio, representing the group’s first acquisition since a management buyout of the firm late last year.
The 92-bedroom hotel is situated in the Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer and set in the shadow of Ben Wyvis, just 30 minutes from Inverness. Boasting a large bar, restaurant, cinema room, and five acres of landscaped mature gardens, the hotel offers traditional Scottish hospitality and is a popular stopover choice for Highland and Island group tours in Scotland.
Sales and Marketing Director, Louise Hamill commented, “The Ben Wyvis Hotel is the perfect fit for Strathmore’s portfolio. This large, majestic hotel set in stunning grounds boasts views of the Ben itself and is ideally located in Strathpeffer, just north of Inverness – the perfect base for exploring the Highlands.
“With a lot of interest already from operators and agents for late 2019, 2020 and even 2021, we are excited to welcome inbound clients as well as the domestic leisure market and show them some Strathmore highland hospitality.”
The Strathmore Hotel Group portfolio has seven other properties in locations including Fort William, Oban, Speyside, Perth, Harrogate, and the Lake District.
