The Beatles Story launches ‘In My Life Memory’ café

The Beatles Story has announced the launch of its brand new In My Life Memory Café, a monthly session taking place at Liverpool’s Pier Head from Monday 9 March. The café provides people living with dementia, their carers, and loved ones the chance to chat, support one another, and re-ignite memories through music and activities.

Through games, crafts and group activities, In My Life Memory Café will transport visitors back to the 1960s and the height of Beatlemania. Pre-booking is not necessary, and an entry fee of £1 per person includes refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits. All craft and activity materials are provided.

The initiative forms part of The Beatles Story’s wider community and sustainability programme, which secured the attraction a Silver Green Tourism Award in June 2025 and is now progressing towards Gold recognition.

Evaluations made by music therapy charity, Nordoff and Robbins, in 2023 and 2024 found that, among other positive results, 87% of individuals living with dementia found that music therapy enhanced their quality of life. The Beatles Story is set to bring these findings into the local Liverpool area, nurturing precious memories through music.

In My Life Memory Café sessions will take over the award-winning attraction’s Fab4 Café at the Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal, Pier Head on select dates. For full details, head to The Beatles Story website.

Care providers looking to bring a group of people to the event are encouraged to get in touch at enquiries@beatlesstory.com. For dementia support, please head to www.alzheimers.org.uk.
