The National Gallery has launched brand new themed tours for private groups from April onwards, giving visitors the opportunity to experience over 700 years of wall-to wall masterpieces and discover the history and stories from its world-renowned collection, all led by gallery approved expert Blue Badge Guides.

Highlights Tour: This is an intimate, expert-led tour of the world-renowned collection at The National Gallery. The gallery approved Blue Badge guides will introduce visitors to their most popular paintings and artists.

Impressionists Tour: A chance to join the expert Blue Badge Guides as they unlock hidden messages and meanings in this tour of the masterpieces inspired by the great myths and legends that still speak to us today.

Women in Art: Whist there are only around twenty paintings in the National Gallery collection of over 2,300, women have had an integral part in the creation of many of the famous artworks. The influence that women have had on the story of western art is varied and often left unspoken. Visitors are encouraged to explore of some of the gallery’s most fascinating works and inspirational stories.

Royal Tour: This is a private tour in the National Gallery, giving visitors the opportunity to explore over 700 years of wall-to-wall masterpieces in a Royal themed experience, tying in nicely with the upcoming Coronation.

All official guided tours are available throughout the year and include a VOX headset for a high-quality experience. Daytime tours last approximately 1.5 hours with an opportunity for groups to enjoy the collection in their own time before or after the tour.
