The Roman Baths win two VisitEngland Silver Awards

The Roman Baths has won two Silver awards at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2020, for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year and in the International Tourism category, becoming the only finalist to win two awards.

The VisitEngland Awards champion the very best of the country’s tourism industry, celebrating quality, innovation an best practice. The ceremony was held virtually for the first time and hosted by TV presenter Julia Bradbury.

Councillor Paul Crossley, cabinet member for Community Services at Bath & North East Somerset Council said, “Having recently reopened the Roman Baths, we are delighted to have won these two national awards. In a normal year, about 40% of our visitors come from overseas and we are proud to offer them an award-winning welcome with our Silver accolade for International Tourism.

“We work hard to provide an outstanding welcome to all of our visitors and guests and are proud that we were the only finalist outside the capital in the category for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year. To be nominated alongisde Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich and Warner Bros. Studio Tours London – The Making of Harry Potter is a great honour.”
