Up at the O2 has launched a new creative campaign encouraging visitors to ‘Get up and over it’, designed by industry-acclaimed artist, Lars Marsden. Based in Hamburg, Marsden was picked by Creative Boom Magazine as one of 20 illustrators to follow in 2020.

Following the lifting of the national lockdown, Up at the O2 will reopen its doors on Friday 4 December with the new creative taking centre stage and is encouraging visitors to climb and end 2020 on a high note.

Dan Hurst, Head of Attraction at Up at the O2 said, “We’re really excited to start welcoming visitors back to Up at The O2 this December. There’s still time to make 2020 the year they tick climbing over the top of The O2 off the bucket list. We’re fortunate that as an outdoor attraction we can offer a safe, socially distanced, but also extremely fun and memorable experience for households to enjoy over the festive period. It’s been a challenging year for our industry, but we’re optimistic about 2021 and excited about the new activations that we have in the pipeline.”

Since reopening in July, ticket sales for Up at The O2 have exceeded targets, despite reducing group number to enable socially distanced climbs. In September, Up at The O2 hosted a series of sold out comedy nights live on the roof with comedian Suzi Ruffell. Members of the NHS training staff who worked within the NHS Training Facility at The O2 arena during the pandemic were also invited back to enjoy a free climb.

Up at The O2 allows visitors to enjoy a 90 minute outdoor climb with 360-degree, panoramic views of the capital. With enhanced health and safety measures in place, Up at The O2 now offers a more intimate and memorable experience than ever before. In line with social distancing guidelines, each climb has been reduced to less than half the capacity previously in place, giving a more exclusive experience.

Climbers can also enjoy everything else the destination has to offer during their visit to The O2, from bars and restaurants to outlet shopping at Icon Outlet, which offers over 60 fashion and lifestyle brands that always offer up to 70% off RRP, including adidas, Calvin Klein, Levis, Nike, The Cosmetics Company Store and Tommy Hilfiger.

Up at The O2 will be temporarily closing for maintenance from Monday 4 January 2021, and reopening on Friday 12 February, ahead of half term and Valentine’s Day. Please click here to book a climb or purchase an electronic gift certificate. Pre-booking is essential and e-gift certificates can be redeemed up to a year after purchase.
