Vintage Trains are offering a number of days out excursions for groups to enjoy, including the Ravenglass and Settle railway, the seaside town of Minehead or the city of York and its famous Christmas market. All excursions leave from multiple departure points in Birmingham, the West Midlands, North Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire throughout 2023 and include food and drink served in Pullman coaches.
Saturday 24 June 2023: Departing from Birmingham Snow Hill, Birmingham Moor Street and Worcester
The journey takes groups to to Cardiff under steam with the mighty Earl of Mount Edgcumbe following the meandering River Severn and the summer scenery to cross the Welsh border at Lydney and on to the historic city of Cardiff, bustling with new events and attractions.
Wednesday 19 July 2023: Departing from Birmingham Moor Street, Coleshill Parkway, Nuneaton, Leicester and Peterborough
The journey takes groups through the heart of the Midlands and East Anglia, with an opportunity to visit either the city of Norwich or the seaside town of Great Yarmouth.
March to October 2023: Departing from Birmingham Snow Hill to Stratford Upon Avon
This is an opportunity to travel along the Shakespeare Line aboard the Shakespeare Express on Sundays between Birmingham and Stratford Upon Avon, a journey of approximately an hour in each direction, through the city townscapes and Warwickshire countryside.
