Visit Windsor launches new digital magazine ‘Woo’

Woo magazine

Visit Windsor’s campaign to entice international visitors back to its Royal Borough includes the launch of a new digital magazine, Woo.

Pre-Covid, Windsor welcomed 8.4 million trips annually as travellers from across the globe came to the town to enjoy its many attractions, from Windsor Castle and the magnificent Crown Estate to Legoland Windsor and a host of activities on the River Thames.

Supporting the Royal Borough’s sustainability programme, Woo provides a digital replacement for Visit Windsor’s former printed Visitor Guide. Taking advantage of new media technologies, Woo includes all of the content and design of a traditional magazine but with the added benefits of embedded videos and live links to all of the attractions covered by the 66-page publication.

Unlike the previous annual guide, Woo will be published twice a year to include all of the latest attractions, accommodation, eating out and retail developments on offer every Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Woo’s ethos is to promote all that is best about the Royal Borough, its people and businesses – and to excite overseas visitors about the iconic history and attractions that help to bring over £600 million into the local area annually and support the 11% of local people employed in businesses benefiting from tourism.

Read the first issue of Woo via Visit Windsor’s website. The Autumn/Winter edition will be published at the start of October, full of more ideas for the end of the year and New Year visitor season.
