ZSL will be hosting Easter activities, including London Zoo’s Zoo-normous Egg Hunt, which is a giant, clue-cracking animal adventure included free with every ticket. Clues have been planted in London Zoo’s Easter Garden, and young visitors will need to track them down before heading out into the wild to find six Zoo-normous eggs.
Taking part in ZSL’s 200th anniversary year, the Zoo-normous Egg Hunt will include a special birthday-inspired twist for 2026. Each giant, animal-themed egg reveals a secret letter, and young adventurers will piece them together to crack the final answer and claim their egg-cellent prize, all the while enjoying a spring day out surrounded by wildlife from around the world.
Visitors can explore some of the world’s incredible animals as they scour the Zoo grounds in search of the giant eggs. While on the trail, they will come face-to-face with animals, from big cats to reptiles. With immersive habitats and daily talks bringing the animal kingdom to life, there’s plenty to discover around every corner.
There is also ZooTown – London Zoo’s indoor role-play space. The zoo-within-a-zoo boasts 13 role-play experiences where children can immerse themselves in the world of a ZSL conservationist – be that a vet, zookeeper, or even a coffee shop barista. Designed to inspire and empower the next generation of conservationists, there are more than one thousand toys to play with, including 300 zebra poo balls, 150 zoo post parcels and 63 cuddly toy veterinary patients.
For two centuries, ZSL has been at the forefront of wildlife conservation, working around the world to restore habitats, protect species and inspire the next generation of animal advocates. Every visit to London Zoo helps to support the vital conservation work of ZSL – meaning families can enjoy a memorable Easter adventure while contributing to the conservation of wildlife worldwide.
Running from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April, the Zoo-normous Egg Hunt is included with Zoo entry, offering families adventure as part of a full day out. Find out more and book tickets now here.
