Key highlights include:
- Inbound visits to the UK into July 2023 continued to increase reaching 3.9m visits, down 7% vs July 2019 (and up 13% vs July 2022).
- Spend also increased into July 2023 with inbound visitors spending £3.4bn in the UK, up 11% (in nominal terms) vs July 2019 (and up 5% vs 2022). In real terms, July 2023 saw visitors spend £2.8bn in July 2019 prices, down 9% vs July 2019.
- Inbound visitors spent £881 per visit, on average, in July 2023, up 19% (in nominal terms) vs 2019 (and down 7% vs 2022). In real terms, visitors spent £727 in July 2019 prices, down 2% vs 2019.
