Expian is positioning itself as a fresh new operating system within the global experience economy.
They are growing rapidly and have ambitions to be the number one experience management platform for the tours and attractions industry. In support of the expected growth, Expain require a Sales Development Rep (SDR) to bridge the gap between the Sales and Marketing teams and drive the go-to-market activity.
The role of the SDR is a key hire as Expian plan forward for success. The role will be focused on promoting the Expian brand and product within the targets markets and securing opportunities for to present platform demos to potential customers. Expian have invested significantly in their sales tools and are now looking for someone who can convert this investment into a new business pipeline.
Whilst this is predominantly a sales role, the successful person needs to work very closely with the Marketing and Product teams – approx. 50% of your activity will be supporting an Account Based Marketing approach to developing and nurturing both new and existing relationships. The successful candidate will be creative in ways to attract new customer interest and will be proven at working with CRM, outreach tools and automated marketing platforms.
Additional responsibilities will include opportunities to present directly to customers, attend conferences and events and support training for existing customers. You will also support the product team in the ongoing development of sales and training collateral.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively promote the Expian brand and products, resulting in new business opportunities.
- Establishing strong and trust-based relationships with customers.
- Create acquisition and nurture campaigns to support growth activity, utilising enablement tools to optimise productivity.
- Supporting the Sales and CSM team with customer insights that will support bot new customer acquisition, and existing client retention.
- Supporting the design, development and updating of user training strategies, plans and materials.
- Development and measurement of metrics to constantly improve our sales performance.
- Manage our CRM (SalesForce) and ensure customer data is kept up to date and relevant.
- Working with various teams within the company, as well as external partners, to ensure the success of the company’s customers.
- Present the company at customer meeting, events, trade shows, etc.
Key skills & experience:
- Experience in working within a similar role, combining Sales and Marketing activity to secure new business opportunities.
- Experience of working with a complex SaaS platform.
- Knowledge of the travel, hospitality, attraction or experience industries preferred but not specifically needed.
- Experience in creating product material and sales collateral
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and a team player, but with the ability to work independently and make proactive decisions.
- Must be driven, self-motivated, self-starter.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively on several active projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to fit into a dynamic team environment.
