Assistant Visitor Operations Manager, Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe is seeking an Assistant Visitor Operations Manager to join their Visitor and Audience Operations team.

This role manages and motivates a team of Visitor Operations Assistants, ensuring the delivery of a world-class visitor experience in line with our Visitor and Audience Operations strategy. Our Assistant Visitor Operations Managers work together on a rota basis to oversee the daily operation of our guided tour, on-site shop and two unique theatre spaces. This includes the management of performances, special events, visits and tours. This role is offered full-time or part-time with annualised hours and we are happy to discuss flexible working as part of this. Please note that because of the nature of the role, some evening and weekend hours will be required and this role cannot be worked from home.

The successful candidate will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate their supportive and collaborative approach to managing and motivating teams. They will be commercially focussed, continually looking for ways to improve and maintain a first-class operation. The right person for this role will be committed to the principles of equality, diversity and anti-racism and able to implement these within all areas of work.

The Visitor and Audience Operations team is responsible for delivering world-class service to all stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as supporting the financial stability of the organisation. The visitor experience is viewed as a journey as this is more than just time spent on site with us in our unique spaces. The Visitor Journey starts from the moment our audiences start thinking about engaging with Shakespeare and The Globe, and ends with the souvenirs and memories they take away with them.  The Visitor and Audience Operations team ensure every visitor has their expectations exceeded by being knowledgeable, engaging, efficient and friendly to all, every time.
