Royal Air Force Museum are looking for an experienced executive to join the Events team to lead the development of their membership programme and to support the delivery of museum events and tours at the Royal Air Force Museum.
Based within the Events team in London, the Membership and Events Executive will act as the administrative and sales lead for the membership scheme and tours programme, creating positive relationships with our fantastic volunteers and acting as a lead for key groups visiting the Museum. The role will also support the Head of Events in delivering a selected number of events in London and Cosford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to at an exciting time for the Museum as we deliver on the exciting vision outlined in our Strategic Plan to 2030.
Key responsibilities include:
- To lead on the implementation of our Membership scheme, ensuring our dedicated events
offer is aligned with our key audience groups. - To perform a lead administrative and sales role for the Membership scheme. This will include working closely with our Communications and Marketing teams on the development of marketing plans, creating positive relationships with Volunteers and internal & external speakers, database and account management including ticketing and renewals.
- Lead on the co-ordination of our programme of members events and support the Head of
Events on the development and implementation of the programme. - Lead on the operational delivery of selected Museum events, working closely with other
members of the events team on events such as RAF Day and public events. - Lead on the operational programming of group tours and public experience tours, working
closely with other members of the Events Team, the Customer Care Team, Visitor Experience Supervisors and Volunteer tour guides. - To take lead responsibility for the management of selected key groups while onsite in London, and occasionally Cosford.
- Act as account manager for our key partners in the Groups and Travel Trade market,
ensuring they are managed actively and effectively. - Act as a key Membership stakeholder at selected internal and external groups, including
selected industry bodies such as ALVA and the Museums Association.
Key skills & experience:
- Demonstrable and proven experience in event management.
- Experience working in a Museum or at an attraction managing membership.
- Experience working with and managing volunteers.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively to achieve personal objectives.
- Experience of database management or CRM.
- A good understanding of GDPR and data compliance.
