Barton Hill are currently seeking an Operations Executive. Established for 45+ years Barton Hill & Armchair is a European Tour Operator and DMC who arranges bespoke tailor-made tours for international special interest groups visiting Europe from a varied client base.
They are a fully remote company, therefore this role would suit someone who is looking to work from home, with the requirement to meet as a team centrally (typically London) at least once a quarter.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating and administering the groups from beginning to end
- Handling quotations from overseas suppliers
- Researching and creating itineraries and programmes
- Attending site inspections and developing product knowledge
- Developing future product ideas
- Handling groups from a variety of markets, including Europe, North America and Oceania
Key skills & experience:
- At least one year’s experience working within the travel industry
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe
- Brilliant admin and multitasking skills
- Experience of tour quotations and operating groups is desirable
- Fluency in English – a second European language would be useful
Working Barton Hill & Armchair allows you to work hours around your personal life. The tour operator would consider any applicants looking for full time or part time work. A part time role would be at least three days a week or can be the equivalent spread over the five days.
Due to the flexible working hours, a part time role would be paid hourly and a full time role would salaried. Both are dependent on experience and expectations.
