Historic Royal Palaces are currently seeking a Sales Executive. The Travel Trade and Groups sector contributed 24% of all visitors and revenue in 2022. This role will be integral in negotiating new business from existing B2B customers and prospecting and converting new business opportunities to meet our commercial targets and objectives.
This role will be targeting the UK groups market along with the student and youth sector and will require strong planning and organisational skills as well as key account management and negotiation experience. As part of the Travel Trade and Group Sales Team you will assist in day-to-day enquiry handling and general Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with Trade and Group clients. You will be required to communicate with all areas and departments of Historic Royal Palaces to ensure you can present accurately our products and events to clients in a timely and appealing manner.
You will be responsible for ensuring your clients adhere to their contracted terms and conditions, assisting with client training and updates for our Ticketing System and booking processes.
As part of the wider Commercial Department at Historic Royal Palaces, the team works closely with the Contact Centre, Events, Catering, Marketing, Retail and Membership whilst the nature of this role will also liaise with Development and Palace Operations teams across the organisation.
Key skills & experience:
- Articulate and accurate in written English
- Confident in dealing face to face and online with clients
- A creative thinker working with clients to develop tours and itineraries that feature palace visits and ancillary services to grow the value of each enquiry
- Can work in a team environment offering ideas and taking on suggestions
- An experienced sales operator and knowledgeable in B2B distribution and sales channels
- Can identify commercial opportunities that will help in growing our financial headroom to fulfill the charitable cause to become a charity for everyone.
