The Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA) is seeking a Training Manager on a part-time basis.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a self-motivated and engaging individual with the proper skill set and experience who wants to work on a part-time basis. You will be working for a member organisation that is highly-respected in the tourism industry and whose members are the best trained and qualified tourist guides in Scotland. Joining a small core team comprising the Association Manager and two Administrators, you will be based in our office in Stirling with a mix of in-office and home working.
The Training Manager is responsible for:
- Trainer programmes
- Allocating trainer roles, e.g. coordinating training days, mentoring or assessing students
- Overseeing guide training courses and the day-to-day work of the course director
- Organising the final examinations for students
- Managing the training budget
- Representing the STGA on training matters
