Travel Trade Coordinator, Royal Museums Greenwich

Royal Museums Greenwich are looking for a Travel Trade Coordinator, who will work with the Senior Travel Trade Manager to develop and grow Travel Trade revenue through efficient administration, timely financing, operational support and focused account management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Administrative and financial support.
  • Monitor the travel trade inbox, ensuring all enquiries are responded to promptly.
  • Manage third party voucher redemption/reconciliation through trade portals and internal systems.
  • Ensure trade group bookings are accurate (final visitor numbers, commission rate, no-shows).
  • Ensure travel trade group visits are invoiced on a weekly basis, liaising with the Bookings Unit and the Finance Team as necessary.
  • Ensure third parties are invoiced at the end of each month and ensure the ticketing system and sales reports are updated accordingly (visitor numbers and admission sales).
  • Manage trade contract and pricing administration.
  • Update and maintain all trade clients records on Galaxy.

Sales Support:

  • Ensuring all existing clients are selling our most profitable products.
  • Manage group enquiries; build itineraries and follow up.
  • Promote RMG attractions and products during face-to-face meetings, familiarisation visits, exhibitions, and networking events, positively and professionally as required.
  • Co-host educational fam trips to ensure trade clients can promote and sell Royal Museums Greenwich effectively.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with our existing clients: language schools, educational operators, specialist groups, domestic coach operators.
  • Build relationships with trade and tourism organisations including AGTO and CTA.

Key skills and experience:

  • Travel trade and/or group sales or administration experience.
  • Confident communication skills, a genuine team player who is flexible with the ability to manage a wide variety of tasks.
  • Experienced account management of a large number of clients in a visitor attraction or tour operator.
  • Proven sales experience with a genuine passion for working with customers and up-selling.
  • A persuasive and confident communicator with excellent English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong systems knowledge and excellent IT skills (including MS Word and Excel), with ability to manage and maintain databases.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form positive relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to work under pressure.
  • Passionate, positive and enthusiastic about Royal Museums Greenwich as a destination, attraction and venue and ability to ‘sell’ the benefits to current and prospective partners.
